Oak Ridge Ash Hybrid 62" Bow

My interest is mainly in "traditional" shooting / kit, so wooden bows, wooden arrows, muddy woods. I have a couple of takedown recurve bows which are lovely, but kind of heavy to carry for a days field shooting. I had been looking for a more tradition style (eg more flatbow than longbow, cant take the hand shock of longbow) and had intended to get the 68" Black Hawk. In the shop I was encouraged to try the smaller Ash too and instantly loved it - given the two bows look kind of similar I was surprised how different they felt to shoot. You probably need to try both for yourself, what I noticed was the Ash seemed snappier (its shorter) and less feedback (its a subtle hybrid shape) - Both bows are both nicely finished, efficient and not expensive, so you wont be disappointed which ever one suits you best.
